WINNING CONDITIONS

In addition to holding 1 Golden Star badge (earned by winning a Challenge Round), the player must successfully travel to and place their colored token on all of the following locations by correctly answering the respective question cards:

  • Lai Châu and Điện Biên provinces

  • 1 province in the Red River Delta or Southeast Region with a Group 1 tile

  • 1 province in the South Central Coast with a Group 2 tile

  • 1 province in the North Central Coast with a Group 3 tile

  • 1 province in the Mekong Delta with a Group 4 tile


SPECIAL PRIVILEGE

If a player lands on a province that lies within the traditional homeland of the ethnic group they represent, they may activate one of the following special privileges (once per game only):

  • Confiscate 2 province/city flags from any other player and return them to the bank, OR

  • Convert 1 province/city flag from another player into their own.

ETHNIC GROUP INFORMATION:

Historical Origins: In China, the Cống people are considered a subgroup of the Hà Nhì ethnic group, known there as Bai Kong. Research indicates that the Bai Kong people migrated from Mang La, Yunnan Province (China), into Phong Thổ (Lai Châu) and other parts of northwestern Vietnam.


Family Structure:

Patrilineal – the family lineage and inheritance follow the father’s side.


Festivals & Rituals:

  • Pre-sowing ceremony

  • Field rituals and ancestral worship

  • Spiritual offerings to the spirits of the wife's parents


Traditional Attire:

  • Short white or indigo jackets with black collars

  • Men wear indigo-dyed clothes


Cuisine:

  • Main foods include: steamed rice, sticky rice, meat, aquatic foods, and forest vegetables

  • Specialty dishes include: Cha Khả, Cha Vàng

  • Habitual use of herbal and leaf-infused water, some used to smoke herbal tobacco


Housing:

  • Three-compartment stilt houses

  • Typically have one entrance and a narrow floor corridor running along the wall
