WINNING CONDITIONS

In addition to owning 1 Golden Star badge (earned by winning in the Challenge round), the player must successfully move (place a colored token) to all the following areas by correctly answering questions on question cards related to the corresponding provinces/cities:

  • Binh Phuoc province

  • 1 province/city in the Red River Delta region with a level 2 group space

  • 1 province/city in the North Central Coast, South Central Coast, and Central Highlands region with a level 3 group space

  • 1 province/city in the South Central Coast region with a level 4 group space

  • 1 province/city in the Mekong Delta region with a level 5 group space


SPECIAL PRIVILEGES

If the player lands on a province/city that belongs to the ethnic group area they represent, they receive a special privilege (can only be claimed ONCE per game):

  • Confiscate 2 province/city tokens from any other player on the board and return them to the bank, OR

  • Convert 1 province/city token belonging to another player into their own token.

ETHNIC GROUP INFORMATION

Origin and history: This ethnic group has long been settled in this area. Due to the absence of written language and historical records, information about their origins is mainly based on folk legends and archaeological and anthropological research.


Social structure: Settlements are organized into villages called "bon," "poh," or "wang," led by a "Village Chief" or "tom wang." The society is stratified into rich (bu khưng), poor (lươi), and servants (kon đek).


Religion and beliefs: Animistic worship including sacred animals, water spirits, sun god, moon god.


Musical instruments: Bronze gongs and bells are the key musical instruments.


Marriage: Both endogamous (within the group) and exogamous (outside the group) marriages are practiced.


Festivals: The Straw Ceremony is the largest festival, held after the rice harvest.


Clothing: Men wear loincloths, women wear wrap skirts; modern clothing is also worn today.


Cuisine: Staples include rice, cassava, fish, and vegetables; eating habits have shifted from hand-eating to using spoons and chopsticks.


Housing: Traditional homes are long stilt houses, now often replaced by separate shorter houses.
